FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
When should I start shopping? Unless you choose one of our dresses currently in stock, we recommend beginning your search 10-12 months before your wedding date. Our gowns typically take anywhere from 6-8 months to arrive in the store, and you'll want a time for alterations.
What is the price range of your dresses? Our collections start at about $350 and go up to $3000. Most of our gowns are priced between $1000-$2000. We do provide 6-month layaway for brides.
Is an appointment required? Walk-ins are welcome, but an appointment will ensure an hour and a half of consultant time and dressing room space in the store just for you!
What should I bring to my appointment? The following listed below are some tips we’ve learned:
1. Inspiration. Bringing along inspiration to your appointment is helpful, but it’s also fine if you don’t. We’ll ask questions, try a few looks, and see if we can’t narrow it down.
2. Proper undergarments. We suggest wearing a supportive, nude, preferably convertible, bra, seamless nude underwear, as well as any shapewear you’d like to wear under your dress. Think about how important comfort will be to you on this day.
3. Hair ties & clips. Pulling your hair up will help you visualize your wedding day look if you choose to wear an updo.
4. Appropriate shoes. Bring similar-style shoes to the pair you’d like to wear.
5. Your people. You are welcome to bring a few people with you to join the fun! Keep in mind that too many opinions can make your decision tougher, especially if you are a people pleaser.
6. A realistic budget. Come with a relative idea of how much you’d like to spend on a dress. You’ll want to include alterations, headpieces, a veil, and any jewelry. Those items add up!
We do not appreciate:
Fake tanning lotions and sprays - they will damage the dresses, and we’re sure you would only want to pay for the one you wear on your big day!
Bringing children. This really isn’t the time or place for them. We need all the focus to be on our bride!
Heavy makeup – while it’s important to go arrive with enough that you feel confident, don’t go all in. You don’t want to get any on the dresses!
I found my dress! Now what? If we have the dress you like in stock, it’s yours as soon as it is paid for, and our dress contract is signed. We do have a layaway contract if needed, but a 50% deposit will be required to save your dress.
I found my dress, but it’s the wrong size. What happens when I order it? If a dress needs to be ordered, we will require a 50% down payment to order the dress. We will contact our vendor to determine the arrival date, which we will communicate to you. The remaining amount will need to be received and dress contract signed before the dress can leave store.
Will I need alterations? Even if your gown arrives fitting perfectly, you'll need minor alterations. A hem, bustle, and strap adjustment are typically always necessary. Alterations are an important part of the process - and should never be overlooked!
Do you include alterations? We do not do alterations, but we can recommend a couple of people.
Why are there so many stipulations and contracts? A wedding dress is not only a significant financial investment for you, but also for us. We like to be clear of everyone’s expectations to make sure we are on the same page. It also protects both parties from potential issues.
